To take it out of that mode, press and hold the Side button. It temporarily disables all of the other elements except for the ability to show you the current time. This mode is a feature that is meant to extend your device’s battery life. Next up, you can try checking the Power Reserve mode to see if it’s on. Check the Power Reserve if Your Apple Watch Won’t Turn On This is a useful move because it helps you to better identify what’s causing your difficulty. If you plug in with them and your device still does not turn on, then you know that the problem is with your equipment, either your watch or one of the accessories you are using. If none of these have resulted in the Apple Watch turns on, then the next thing you can try is borrowing the Magnetic Charging Cable and USB Power Adaptor from someone else who has the same device. Use Different Accessories if Your Apple Watch Won’t Turn On However, if you want ones that you’ll be sure will work with this device, it’s best to pay a little more to get the genuine, Apple-issued versions. Thank you for any suggestions in advance! It's very much appreciated. The Apple Watch has become a popular accessory in the years since it debuted. Is there a way to keep all my stuff without doing a wipe/factory reset? I'm not connected to iCloud or anything, so are there any ways I can use iTunes to save all my data? Is there a reason I can't turn off Voiceover (I'd like to believe I have to fix the black screen first)? ![]() I also rather not screw up by taking off the back of my phone while listening to instructions of a youtube video. The phone is not jailbroken, and I'm not connected to iCloud nor iTunes (so I've never backed up data or anything). ![]() I have a lot of photos I would like to keep, as well as other stuff I really don't want to go through the trouble of finding again. When I reset (pressing the lock and home button at the same time), the Apple logo shows, phone resets, and I see my screen again! Unfortunately, it fades to black after a few seconds and I am stuck with Voiceover and a black screen again. If I take a screenshot, I can see my screen for the amount of time it flashes (everything looks normal). On top of that, the phone screen is black. Now, when I try to turn Voiceover off (double tapping to toggle, as the voice directs), the voice keeps telling me, "On." I double tap again. I've managed to get past that without resetting anything. Previously, it was the two above plus the Welcome/Setup screen, as in the one with multiple greetings and 'Would you like to turn on Location/find Wifi/add a passcode?". ![]() Hello! After a few shenanigans, I have with me a 4S (not jailbroken) stuck on Voiceover Mode with a black screen.
